Well, I've been debating all week how to go about approaching this challenge! I've decided I'm not really going to say much at all about why I decided to start this...or why I think you should join. What I will say, is that I read an inspiring quote, and from it, came this challenge! I think we've all read those articles that just make us feel....guilty? Or made us think wow, am I doing this wrong? I'm not here to guilt trip anyone. This isn't going to be a challenge that you need to have a certain parenting style to join, it doesn't matter, we're all different but I think we all have the same goal in mind. You are taking the time to read this because you are a great parent and genuinely interested in strengthening the connection you have with your child, or children! That is basically all that matters. I am too! So, why not do this together?! If you're interested, everyone is more than welcome to join!
Here's what we're going to do! 30 days of daily ideas/challenges that will bring us closer to our children!
But I'm going to need your help with this! I need to know when you want the challenges posted. Each evening? Each Sunday so you have the plans for the week laid out? Let me know what would work best for you in a comment below please!
Lastly, if you plan on joining in on the fun...make sure to become a follower of my blog because...YES! There will be some prizes too! This was a somewhat last minute thing, but I am doing what I can to make sure that we can all have some fun with this!
So, if you are interested in joining go ahead and comment below...let me know how old your kids are, and also--let me know when you would prefer challenges to be posted!! If you have any suggestions or ideas to contribute go ahead and leave those below too! Don't forget to share this with your friends--having a great support system always helps!
Thanks everyone! ♥
My daughter is two...Obviously lol :) I would like to see the challenges posted Sunday so its laid out for the week and we can all prepare appropriately. That way we know what we're doing each day ahead of time!
ReplyDeleteChallenge suggestions:
-An "unplugging" challenge (Like only taking your phone out when your child isn't there, whether it be napping or your at work or whatever)
-A TV free challenge
That's all I have right now! If I think Of anymore I'll let you know! :)
My daughter is 20 months and it would help me to see something posted on Sunday (which is when I normally do my activity planning for the week). I can't think of any challenge ideas right now but I'll keep thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteMy sons are 14 and 6. My daughters are 12 and 22 months. I only have the 3 older ones every other week but my youngest is with me every day. I also, would like to see the challenges a week in advance for preparing.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are 4 and 3. I would like challenges posted weekly with a short reminder daily...if that's not too much to ask. :) I'm excited about this challenges. I think one good challenge would be to "unplug" from devices! I'm guilty of that! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteMy son will turn 2 this weekend and I would like to see the posts on a daily basis. Sometimes it helps to have a daily reminder when you are trying to change habits because if it is weekly the fire fizzles out by tuesday.
ReplyDeleteMy sons are 10 months and 4 years old. I would like the challenges posted on Sunday as well. I'm really excited for this Thanks for doing it! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I would love to do this! I have a almost 5 year old, 2 1/2 year old and an 8 month old. If you could post them on Sunday for the week that would be awesome, but daily would work for me too! What ever is easier! :) I like the unplugged challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the replies!!! It looks like I will be posting on Sunday evenings as requested and I will do some daily reminders too. However since the first day of June is next Friday I will go ahead and post the first challenge next Thursday, the night before! Then from that Sunday I will go ahead and start posting weekly! I hope this works for everyone and thanks for taking the time to help!! ♥
ReplyDeleteThis should be a lot of fun!!! My boys are almost 5 and almost 3 and girly girl is 1:) But you know that already;) I emailed you my ideas!
ReplyDeleteI know I'm late to respond, but what about posting the week's challenges on Saturday night, instead of Sunday? That way, if you needed to buy anything for the challenges, you'd have Sunday to shop and prep for the week.
ReplyDeleteEither way, I'm really excited about this challenge and can't wait to start!
I like this idea. :) I also like the idea of posting the challenges on Saturday night and then daily reminders. But whatever works, works! I have a son who's 4 and my girlie is 1. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest daughter just turned 3 and my little one is almost 14 months. I don't have any challenge ideas b/c I'm joining late but I'd love to take part.
ReplyDeleteMy 3 are 6yrs 4yrs and 13months. I would like to see the challenges posted on Sundays!
ReplyDeleteMy children are 6, 4, 3, 14m and 1 "baking". I like weekly challenges laid out with maybe a reminder (if possible)
ReplyDeleteUnplugged, no fb, phones, tv
silly day with the kids
helping day (they help with all activities)
Service day (help others)
My twins are 3, maybe have a type of challenge where each child gets their own time and attention.
ReplyDeleteheyyy I found it..my daughter is 3 and my son is 4!! Sundays would be fine- doesn't matter to me- I'd like to know in advance..usually during the week we try to plan stuff for the kids so I'm hoping it all goes well together! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm joining late, but am planning to do the challenges I missed at the end! I have four boys 7, 6, 2 and 3 months. As far as challenges go, maybe a pajama/movie day where the kiddos get to pick the movie and snacks that go along with it. I was going to say a game night, but I see that you already have that listed for the first week :) I'll be blogging along with the challenge at www.ninetenthscrazy.blogspot.com Can't wait to see what you come up with!
