Beauty Blogging?!

Well, I know my blog is random at times, or really, at all times. :) I know quite a few of you are led here by our various DIY projects featured on other sites, the girls parties, etc, then I have my family who is here who loves seeing photos of the girls and just simply what we are doing. Then, there are other just girly girls out there who like my things I'm ♥ing Friday and those sort of related posts. Confusing right? At times it leaves me wondering what should I post?! What is anyone even looking at my blog for?! Lol. Really I still can't fathom why people find my little ole life interesting enough to read about it.

Long story short, I decided to start a little beauty/shopping related blog. I always have been-- and always will be a girly girl. I love talking about shopping, makeup, sharing tips/product recommendations with my friends, etc. But I know that is not always relevant here. So, over there is going to be a fun little place where we can chat about that and share more on that topic--and the best part is, I get to do it with some really great friends! I simply do not have enough to share or talk about on my own, so I have some friends who will be helping me out!  While we are so alike we are all also different--I love this aspect of it and that it will allow everyone who comes to visit to see not just one style and opinion--but many. We've all been talking for years now and I'm really excited to be doing this little project with them.

So, I won't rant anymore--here it is! I really encourage anyone who likes beauty/fashion or really anything GIRLY to head over there and show your support by "following" us, you can find the instructions over there on how to do so!! We really wanted to just think of it as our place to "girl talk"--and we'd love for you to come and chat with us!

As for this blog, I will continue updating it as normal, I will still be random (sorry!). And honestly you shouldn't really notice any changes here, the other blog is just a fun little side project that I am really looking forward to--and I hope some of you are too!

Weekend Instagram!

Oh how I ♥ the weekend! It's always nice to get lots accomplished but to have time to relax with my loves too. That was the type of weekend we had and it was so nice and well needed!  We started out with a few errands to get ready for my family's arrival--SO excited!!

the girls did not approve of our attempt at changing the car seats around. They are so precious! ♥

& we topped off our weekend with some shopping! It is always a good feeling when you go to the mall and actually find what exactly what you are looking for! This doesn't happen often for me so...Steve fully encourages it when I do.

 My favorite purchase were these new Tory Burch Caroline flats! Ahhh, you can just tell how excited they make me, lol! ♥ I put them on and we all agreed that they were very "me" and they needed to come home with us. I love how classic and feminine they are yet so comfy!

Ava didn't want the weekend to end either. Her attempt at "hiding" before bedtime. :)

Just one week until my mommy & little sissy are here, YEY! (Hopefully they read this and are just as excited!) 

On babies that grow up...

Please excuse my overly emotional rant for the week. But. Has anyone ever had that moment where you look at your baby...and realize, hey, you're not a baby anymore?! Today...I sadly, had that moment.

I looked at Ava and her beauty truly took my breath away.  And my calm away...and I felt myself holding tears back. Where did this gorgeous little girl come from and where was my little tiny baby? For some reason I looked at her and just realized she wasn't a baby anymore, granted she hasn't been a baby for a couple years now, lol, so why did it suddenly hit me?! 

I just realized that some day my baby will probably be a mommy herself and will understand all the things I did and said to her, the same way that I now understand everything that my parents did and said to me. I realized that some day she will have her own home, her own life,  and I won't get to go grab her from her bed and cuddle up with her any moment I want to. Like I can now.

My husband and I spend every.single.date.night. we have, asking ourselves what we ever did before we had babies. Don't get me wrong, we love our time together, but...really...we ask ourselves...what did we do before?! Because now we eat, drink, breathe, live, for our children. Every waking moment of my day I spend with them, or thinking about them, dreaming about them and who they will become and what I can do to make it better for them. I want them to have it all, I want them to have endless possibilities. As I'm sure every parent does.

All I could do is rest in knowing that this will probably never change. I will always think about them and I will always love them above anything and everything else.

Even when they are old and have babies of their own, I will rest in knowing that I cherished these moments, these days, these years, of tea parties, of play kitchen, of them tugging on my legs as I make them lunch, as they throw all the laundry I just folded onto the floor, I do my best to cherish it all. I guess that's all we can do!

Never forget to cherish these moments.

Fast. Food.

Just wanted to share some "fast food" alternative ideas today! We were out and about and ran a little later than usual! We did our normal Whole Foods run and grabbed dinner there instead of at a restaurant or typical fast food chain. Whole Foods has some great on the go options!!

I personally love their Spinach Chicken Caesar wrap!

and me and hubby shared some Caprese Pasta Salad, I loveeeee caprese style...anything, lol!
